18 Abhishek & Ashtapad Pratimaji Sthapana

Sunday, October 19, 2025

With great joy and devotion, we announce the auspicious occasion of the Sthäpanä of the 24 Tirthankars on Mount Ashtäpad at our Chicago Deräsar.

Mount Ashtäpad, believed to be situated in the Himalayas, is the sacred place where Chakravarti Bharat Maharaja built a temple to commemorate the Nirvan Kalyanak of Bhagwan Ädinäth. There, he performed the Pratishthä of the 24 Tirthankars of the current Chovisi. Later, during the time of Shree Mahävir-swämi, Gautam Swami, with his special powers, performed the Yäträ of Mount Ashtäpad.

Now, we are blessed with the opportunity to experience this divine Tirth Yatra of Ashtäpad within our own Deräsar.

📿 On Sunday, October 19th, beautiful idols of all 24 Tirthankars — from Shree Ädinath to Shree Mahävir-swämi — will be consecrated on a magnificent replica of Mount Ashtäpad.

✨ The Labharthi Parivar will have the unique opportunity to perform 18 Abhisheks and the Sthäpanä of their selected Bhagwan PratimäjiSthapana Nakro -

🌸 Members of our Sangh will be blessed to have Darshan and Bhakti of Ashtäpad Tirth for years to come.

Let us all join in this once-in-a-lifetime occasion with devotion, reverence, and joy.

Nakro per Labhärthi per $1008.00

Shree Mahavir Swami Nirvan Kalyanak Celebration

Tuesday, October 21, 2025 @ 6:00am - 8:30am

At the age of 72, on the dawn of Amavasya, the 30th day of Ashwin in the year 471, before the Vikram era (527 B.C.), Bhagwan Mahavir Swami, 24th Jain Tirthankara left his human body. He attained Nirvana at Pawapuri, Bihar, India. It was a very dark night without the light of the gods or the moon. This occasion is celebrated as Diwali, the festival of lights, symbolizing the perpetuation and universalization of his truth-revealing and soul-illuminating light of knowledge in his physical absence.

Since then, Jains have celebrated the festival of Diwali, the last day of the Jain calendar, to commemorate Bhagwan Mahavir Swami's attainment of Moksha.
